Where you will find me at Island Shores:
My office is located in the Computer Center in which you will find many of our residents surfing the Web, checking their E-mails, and playing electronic games on Island’s new Mac computers
Favorite thing about working at Island Shores:
Knowing that my staff and I have in some way enriched the lives of our residents through our diverse educational, recreational, and hopefully, FUN program offerings. I also enjoy listening to Island residents’ personal histories—many of which span Depressions, World Wars, and other important events. Our elders are one of the greatest primary sources we have available to learn the history of the past century.
How can I help you?
Please feel free to stop by my office or “catch me” when I am running around the building if there is any activity or event that you would like offered at Island Shores. I encourage and welcome feedback from our residents as well as from the staff who administer these programs. By processing this feedback, we can better gauge our success as a department and fine-tune our programs to better serve Island residents.
A little about me -
During my tenure at Island, we have grown from a residence with few occupants and a handful of services to a filled-to-capacity, all-inclusive complex—one that offers a multitude of educational, recreational and wellness programs. Prior to joining Island’s team, I worked at the College of Staten Island at which I coordinated college-level, study abroad programs in Italy, Greece, Ecuador and other countries around the globe. I earned a B.S. in International Studies from CSI and a M.A. in History from Brooklyn College. I also studied and worked in Florence, Italy for a semester while in college.
